The Digital Democracy Analyst will contribute to mainstreaming these thematic priorities across the global geographical footprint of the Electoral Compass.
They will particularly focus on fostering research, knowledge exchange, evidence-gathering, and scaling up of good practices regarding information integrit, digital policy and digital transformation, with a special emphasis in the work carried out in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the aims to promote intra and cross-regional cooperation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide program support for the implementation of the Electoral Compass activities across its global geographical footprint, with an emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Support all reporting, advocacy, and communication activities related to the Electoral Compass, including leading evidence-gathering, systematization, and drafting of impact reports for donors, in close coordination with BPPS and all country offices involved.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic events and cross-learning initiatives developed within the context of the Electoral Compass.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science; International Cooperation; Development Studies; Social Project Management; Media and Communication, or other related fields is required, or
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor`s degree) in the above mentioned fields, in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of master´s degree.
Experience:
- Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in the fields of governance, electoral assistance, or other development areas.
- Experience producing reports, advocacy and communication products for high-level audiences, particularly international donors.
Travel
a) UNDP will cover the cost of travel of the individual to the duty station, as well as their return to their home upon completion of their services. Travel costs are covered only in the event that the function will be undertaken physically in the duty station and excludes working from home arrangements.
